It’s easy to be distracted by the way we wish we were, or think we ought to be, or what others think we should be, until we lose sight of what’s actually true. The Know Yourself Better Journal is made for anyone who wishes to gain insight into themselves, but needs more direction than a blank page. In this journal, you’ll find questions and distinctions based on Gretchen Rubin’s work, meant to help you develop self-compassion and understanding, and discover ways you might make your life a little happier.

I bought this for my "Things to do in 22" list - keep a journal. This works well for me as a Rebel, in that I can fill out one of the fun prompts at any time, with no pressure. As an artist, I love the blank area so I can draw my response. I also love the checkbox in the corner. I've used the prompts to spark conversations with friends and family. A great gift and a great tool for keeping a journal without the pressure!
I am not a journaler and while I love finding old missives or notes I wrote and reading them have never felt the need nor want to keep a journal. But this type of journal intrigues me and has allowed me to recall some great memories and figure some other things out. The fact that it is not linear/based on calendar days is perfect and I use it when I need to think about something completely different than what is going on in my life at that time.
I have used this journal for so many things. In my personal friendships, with my family and adult kids, and even in one on ones with the managers I supervise at work.
I've been enjoying all the prompts in this journal so far. I also love that the layout allows you to use it in really flexible ways. I have enough room on each spread to respond to the prompt and do my regular journaling for the day. And having one blank page and one lined page gives people options for different ways of engaging with the prompts! And the "done" checkbox is brilliant – if there's a prompt I want to think more about and come back to, I just leave it unchecked as a reminder to look at it again!
I am just a couple weeks in but already am having a blast with the Know Yourself Better Journal and feel like I truly am getting to know myself better. It has even led to a change up to my schedule and increased happiness in such a short time. Can't wait to continue using to see what other positive things come from it
